A Hannah Funny

There is a man who owns about 900 acres of land across the street from our neighborhood. He owns cows and has his land divided up into many pastures. SO, sometimes when we come home in the afternoons the cows are there across from our neighborhood entrance and sometimes they are not.

When the cows are there Hannah is very excited. When they are not and we ask her where the cows are she says that they are "night night."

Today we were looking at one of Daddy's Sports Illustrated magazines and we found a part that had lots of basketball pictures. Hannah really likes basketball. In each picture she was pointing out where the basketball was.

She got to one picture and could not find the basketball. So she looked at me and said very matter-of-factly "bahball night night." Since she couldn't find it, it had obviously gone night night!

It's the Little Things

Friday Hannah found inside her, her love for puddles.
(Truth be known, her mommy has a love for puddles also.)
Hannah also rediscovered her love for sticks!!
(The video that worked, did not show the sticks but there is a picture.)
What Fun!!

Here are a few Black and White shots of the event....

You have to see this one in color.
This is what happens when you fall in the puddle!!
The Fun Was Worth It!

A Hannah Funny

Sitting right beside Hannah in the back seat of the car, as we were driving home from picking her up at school, was her lunch box.

I pointed to it and asked "Hannah, what is that?" (of course I knew what it was but I wanted to hear her say it because I love the way she says it)

Hannah looked at me and answered "Hannah's!"

I again said "Hannah, WHAT is that?"

She again said "Hannah's!" (this is giving you a little bit of an idea of the attitude we are starting to develop!)

I said "Hannah's what?"

She finally gave me the satisfaction and said "Hannah's Lunch Babox."

Our Sunday Pictures

Seriously, she had a bath Saturday night before she went to bed.

Seriously, I had just fixed her hair before these pictures.

Seriously, I have no idea where the frazzeled hair look came from!

New Book

Chris says I am a little crazy because I got thru Hokus Pokus so fast. It is fast for me and him because we read slow or sometimes not at all but for others I know it wasn't fast.

Anyway, Fern Michaels got her imagination going again and it was great. Remember if you read these to be prepared for a little bit of language but I think when you have "good" guys and "bad" guys most people expect that. At the end it was definitely left open for another one in the series however it did not give a name or date of when another will be out. I will need to keep my ears and eyes open for it.

In a couple of days (after I get over thinking about this one) I will start Love's Healing Touch by Jane Myers Perrine. I am going light this time with one of the Love Inspired books. If you want something clean, feel good, and light, really, go for a Love Inspired book.

As always, I will let you know how it goes.

American Idol

As most of you know. I do watch American Idol. I was just talking with a co-worker and discovered something about one of the contestants.

Seriously, can't you see Jason Castro singing The Rainbow Connection?

A Beautiful Life

Sunday night, for our worship, we had singing night. We sang a song I felt like I hadn't heard in a while. I soaked in the words and have been thinking about them ever since.

A Beautiful Life
by William M Golden (1918)

Each day I'll do
A golden deed
By helping those
Who are in need
My life on earth
Is but a span
And so I'll do
The best I can

Chorus:
Life's evening sun
Is sinking low
A few more days
And I must go
To meet the deeds
That I have done
Where there will be
No setting sun

To be a child
Of God each day
My light must shine
Along the way
I'll sing His praise
While ages roll
And try to help
Some troubled soul

Chorus:
Life's evening sun
Is sinking low
A few more days
And I must go
To meet the deeds
That I have done
Where there will be
No setting sun

The only life
That will endure
Is one that's kind
And good and pure;
And so for God
I'll take my stand,
Each day I'll lend
A helping hand

Chorus:
Life's evening sun
Is sinking low
A few more days
And I must go
To meet the deeds
That I have done
Where there will be
No setting sun

While traveling down
Life's weary road
I'll try to lessen
Some traveler's load
I'll try to turn
The nights to day
Make flowers bloom
Along the way

Chorus:
Life's evening sun
Is sinking low
A few more days
And I must go
To meet the deeds
That I have done
Where there will be
No setting sun

I Need Your Help

Monday night I cut an onion.

I have washed my hands a million times since then - with soap.

I have taken 2 showers since then - with soap.

I still smell the onions on my fingers.

How do I make it go away?

Good thing is... I don't think anyone else can smell it... does this mean it may be in my nose?

It is driving me CRAZY!!

14 Week Doc Appointment

Yesterday we went to the doctor. Everything looks good.

Our little baby was a little shy and wanted to move around a lot but we finally caught up with the heartbeat and it was at a strong 156!! It is such a sweet sound.

The next appointment is May 13th and we will find out if the baby is a girl or boy. So if you haven't voted yet - get to it. You have a few more weeks to guess and then we will know!!!

YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!

Our Sunday Pictures

A wonderful lady at church handed down this dress to Hannah. Her daughter is older and she is finished having children. It is an absolutely beautiful dress but it is 100% silk. Yes, that is right - 100%!! Well, I told Chris that Hannah had to wear this dress sometime but she would not be allowed to eat in it.

Problem is.. we always eat out after worship on Sunday morning. It is in our budget. Ask Chris, Mommy is not as happy the rest of the week if she has to worry about cooking on Sunday afternoons!!

Today Chris played in a golf tournament so in order for us to ride to the church building together this morning we had to pick up lunch and eat it here at home. That made TODAY the perfect day for this dress. Both Chris and I thought it was SO precious on Hannah. We keep thanking the lady at church over and over for handing it down to us. When she saw Hannah in it today she said it brought back so many memories!!

Now, how am I going to clean this one?? NO food got on it - there was NO opportunity for that - I made sure of it.
