Call me Naive - It's OK!

I know that we can not investigate every one and every company thoroughly and be sure what we are putting our money into and exactly everything that we are supporting when we watch a television program or buy a product. Really, I get that.

I always knew that Oprah had some odd spiritual views. When I watched her show, it was honestly, not normally a show about her or anything too serious. I watch the shows with Denzel Washington (who wouldn't?), the shows with Miley Cyrus, the give away shows to see all the stuff I wish I could have for free... you know those types. Also, no matter what you think of her spiritually or politically (dad!) I am not sure anyone could deny she does good things for people. Right now, I think, she has a reality show out there to see just how much someone can do for others. She has done good things for people - I am not denying it.

Well, I saw this on someone's blog and I have to admit the first two emotions I felt were fear and sadness. I am fearful because she is a powerful person in this world and she could really steer some people who look up to her in the wrong direction. I am sad because it is obvious from her past, some comments I have heard her say, and the good she does that Oprah could be such a powerful and wonderful person in God's army.

I wanted everyone to watch this (I know it is 6 minutes long!) and be careful what you do to support her. I also think we should pray about this. Regularly.

Pregnancy

A couple of thoughts:

First, aren't the weird dreams suppose to come later. I never had a lot of them with Hannah and when I did they were in my last month of pregnancy. Just within the last week or so I dreamed I was ironing!! CRAZY WEIRD!!! I don't iron!!

Second, am I completely exhausted because the rain won't stop or because I am pregnant? I can't decide. It may be a little of both. Chris and I ride together to and from work and we have about a 30-45 minute drive. I regularly sleep on our way to work. Today I completely went REALLY to sleep on our way home. I wasn't just dozing. I was asleep!! And I think, if we didn't stop at the day care and that woke me up, I may could have slept thru the night. Wild!

Third, how often do you use a stroller with a 2 year old. Do you think investing in a double stroller of some kind would be a smart thing?

Fourth, our next doctor's appointment is Monday. I am so excited to hear that heartbeat again! And then the appointment after that (in May) we will find out if it is a boy or a girl. Everything is happening so fast.

Fifth, is it OK that right now I can not picture our family with another one? That isn't mean is it? I mean, I already love this baby very much, but at this point, I can't really picture our lives with another one. Does this mean I may not have a motherly instinct or at least not a very strong one?

Whewww! I think that is all that is on my mind right now with that. Had to get it out.

There'll Be Days Like This

This is how Hannah looked when we picked her up from Day Care today.
  • Her cute pigtails came out and apparently couldn't be put back in.
  • She has learned to take her shoes off and apparently does so all day long.
  • She had an accident down her leg and apparently Mommy and Daddy forgot to take her extra pants to school. AND apparently the Day Care does not seem to have any extra in her size.
  • Then they tell us she forgot to bring her "Listening Ears" today. Apparently they were not there at all today, not even for a little while.

Hummph.....

Backtracking

OK, so I told you Hannah was scared of the Easter Bunny. I also told you a friend of mine got some pictures of just how scared she was...

In the first picture I am in the middle of taking my 5 steps towards the Easter Bunny.

In the second picture I have gotten as close to the Easter Bunny as I am going to get because Hannah is crying, yelling "no no no no no", and squeezing the life out of my arm.

Oh well, people dressed up in all those weird costumes must look CRAZY to little ones anyway!

Yes, That is Right!

You saw that new ticker correctly. I am pregnant.

Chris and I are so excited!! We have heard the heart beat once. It was in the 170s and going strong. Yippeeeee!!

Especially because of some things that have happend in the past, it has been extra difficult to tell people this time. I don't know how to explain it... Anyway, if you found out about this from my blog and wish you had been told by me personally, please don't take it personal.

We hope to share our joy with all of you.

I hope to keep an updated pregnancy picture on here. I wish I had done more of that with Hannah but just didn't. We will see how it goes this time. Do you start to feel bigger sooner with the second? I feel like I am!!

I am going to put a poll on the side of my blog so that you can guess if we are going to have a boy or a girl. We will find out in about 6 weeks!!

Did I say Yipppeeeeeee??

New Book

Well, today I finished Pretty Woman by Fern Michaels. I really really liked it and would definitely recommend it. It is about a woman's strength. I enjoyed it a lot. I don't know if I have told you, but Fern Michaels seems to put in most, if not all of her books, a "spirit." I don't know if that is the right word. In her books there is always a person who has passed on watching over someone. It is never scary and acutally it never seems weird. But it makes things a little more interesting. Hard to explain but just another unique thing about Fern Michaels.

Well, once again, I have 5 books beside my bed waiting for me to read and guess what I do.... I bought one.

This is what happend. I just went by the books at Kroger tonight and I saw it. Yes IT!! Hokus Pokus by Fern Michaels. Remember? The next one in the Sisterhood series. If you don't, check out this post from January. Anyway, in the last book in the series it said Hokus Pokus would not be out until April. I was SO excited to see it.

Normally, I need a couple of days after I read a book to think about it before I start another one. I know that sounds a little crazy, especially considering the kinds of books I read, but I just like to think about what happend and what may be happening if the story line went on... ANYWAY, I was so excited about this one that I have already started reading it - The same day I finished the other one.

As usual, I will let you know how it goes.........

Pigtails

At least I call them pigtails. What do you call them? I have heard that they have different names but I think you all know what I am talking about.

We have finally started really being able to get Hannah's hair in good pigtails and she doesn't even cry that much as we are doing it!!

Mom, I promise, Chris and I talked about blogging about this AND took the pictures before your comment about her hair in an earlier post. REALLY. PROMISE!!
