Today's Favorite Friday, in honor of Mother's Day is My Favorite Thing About My Mother.
This is a hard one for me. I love a lot of things about my mother. I love her intuition, her humor, her Christ-like spirit, her helpfulness, her kindness, the way she can roll her eyes, the way she hates her belly button, the way she cuts her nails, her creative ideas, her thoughtfulness, the love she shows me, the way her nose crinkles like a bunny when she smiles, the way she smells, the comfort I feel around her, the wisdom she shares, and I think I could go on and on......
If I
had to say what my favorite thing about her is I suppose I would say it would be our conversations. Talking to my mother is wonderful. She is one of those people I can say anything to and she will talk to me about. She is always willing to listen to a good story and put her thoughts on the whole thing. We love hearing about every detail of an event or just a regular ole day.
Last weekend she and Dad drove in on Friday night to stay with us and then had to leave on Saturday at about 2 to be at the airport. I was not able to be here to hang out with them. At the airport while they were waiting to board she called me and went
thru every step of their day with Chris and Hannah. It was so fun. You can't recount every moment of a day with just anyone and it be fun. It was great!
Thanks Mom for everything, but especially for all our conversations. I love you very much.
