The Trend

OK, so I know this "look" is "in." (Speaking of Hannah's outfit.)

And I have to say that, because my daughter asks me every day if she can wear a dress, I am thankful the "look" is in.

(Yes, I know that this dress is a little big. And yes, I know that she has learned to hide her hands in her sleeve and yes, I can now understand why it bothered my mom so much when I did it.)

But, moving on, I am just not sure I like it.

Pants/leggings with a dress. It is a little odd to me. I am not really sure I like the way it looks. This is a battle I am not going to fight. I don't think it is worth it, but I did need to get my feelings out there.

I am just not sure about it!

Well.....I think she has some growing to do for that dress....the "trend" - at least she is covered - there are some "trends" MUCH worse!!

Glad you got your feelings out!

You're a great mom!

Hey, I just thought of a memory... When I was in elementary school (in Pensacola FL!), girls were required to wear dresses to school. BUT - when it was cold - we were allowed to wear a pair of pants under our dresses to keep us warm! Guess such things start the cycles of trends!

i am with you. i don't fight the clothes battles or hair battles with my kids. UNTIL it becomes an issue of immodesty. for now, though, as long as their hair and clothes are clean, it's up to them. :)

I think she looks cute! Once I stopped fighting the girls about clothes (unless they're dirty or something!) it's been kind of fun to see what they come up with for outfits and let them be creative. And on the plus side I don't have to dress anyone but myself these days.
