Last Sunday morning Hannah came home with a wonderful thing from her Sunday School Class!
They had talked about helping. And so they brought home a way to measure how much they help.
Every time Hannah helps she gets to move a bead from the left to the right. Then at the end of the day we count how many beads she got to move and praise her for all her helping.
At first she just thought she was cool because she could count the beads. But then I showed her how it worked. I wasn't sure she was really going to "get it" but she absolutely did. From after her nap until bedtime Sunday night she got to move 9 beads. It was great. I was happy she was helping. She was happy she got to move beads.
It is quickly becoming a tradition for Daddy to count the beads she got to move at night before she goes to bed. She just beams out a smile when her Daddy tells her how proud he is of her.
It is really easy to make. They just cut sentence strip paper, punched holes in it, put a pipe cleaner strung with big beads in the holes and taped them to the back.
Thank you, Mrs Donna, for this wonderful project. It has been lots of fun.
