Backtracking

OK, so I told you Hannah was scared of the Easter Bunny. I also told you a friend of mine got some pictures of just how scared she was...

In the first picture I am in the middle of taking my 5 steps towards the Easter Bunny.

In the second picture I have gotten as close to the Easter Bunny as I am going to get because Hannah is crying, yelling "no no no no no", and squeezing the life out of my arm.

Oh well, people dressed up in all those weird costumes must look CRAZY to little ones anyway!

Yes, That is Right!

You saw that new ticker correctly. I am pregnant.

Chris and I are so excited!! We have heard the heart beat once. It was in the 170s and going strong. Yippeeeee!!

Especially because of some things that have happend in the past, it has been extra difficult to tell people this time. I don't know how to explain it... Anyway, if you found out about this from my blog and wish you had been told by me personally, please don't take it personal.

We hope to share our joy with all of you.

I hope to keep an updated pregnancy picture on here. I wish I had done more of that with Hannah but just didn't. We will see how it goes this time. Do you start to feel bigger sooner with the second? I feel like I am!!

I am going to put a poll on the side of my blog so that you can guess if we are going to have a boy or a girl. We will find out in about 6 weeks!!

Did I say Yipppeeeeeee??

New Book

Well, today I finished Pretty Woman by Fern Michaels. I really really liked it and would definitely recommend it. It is about a woman's strength. I enjoyed it a lot. I don't know if I have told you, but Fern Michaels seems to put in most, if not all of her books, a "spirit." I don't know if that is the right word. In her books there is always a person who has passed on watching over someone. It is never scary and acutally it never seems weird. But it makes things a little more interesting. Hard to explain but just another unique thing about Fern Michaels.

Well, once again, I have 5 books beside my bed waiting for me to read and guess what I do.... I bought one.

This is what happend. I just went by the books at Kroger tonight and I saw it. Yes IT!! Hokus Pokus by Fern Michaels. Remember? The next one in the Sisterhood series. If you don't, check out this post from January. Anyway, in the last book in the series it said Hokus Pokus would not be out until April. I was SO excited to see it.

Normally, I need a couple of days after I read a book to think about it before I start another one. I know that sounds a little crazy, especially considering the kinds of books I read, but I just like to think about what happend and what may be happening if the story line went on... ANYWAY, I was so excited about this one that I have already started reading it - The same day I finished the other one.

As usual, I will let you know how it goes.........

Pigtails

At least I call them pigtails. What do you call them? I have heard that they have different names but I think you all know what I am talking about.

We have finally started really being able to get Hannah's hair in good pigtails and she doesn't even cry that much as we are doing it!!

Mom, I promise, Chris and I talked about blogging about this AND took the pictures before your comment about her hair in an earlier post. REALLY. PROMISE!!

Sparkle Factor Designs

Check it Out!!
New BEAUTIFUL products on Sparkle Factor Website.
They are fun bags for your little one to carry around.
What a wonderful way for them to tote around all their little goodies!!

Happy Easter!!

You may recognize this dress as my Big ticket item from my consignment sale adventure. Chris and I both were do glad we had it for her to wear today. I have even won over Chris with this. He said that if we could get them all at the price we got it for at the consignment sale, she would have a dress like this for every Sunday!! Now the big problem is that I am afraid to wash it and it got something on it at lunch. Any suggestions? Anyone willing to wash it for me?

She is showing off her shoes!!

This smile of hers cracks me up. It isn't completely real and it isn't completely fake either. It makes me laugh!

My favorite part about these beautiful dresses is how lady like you get to be in the car seat!!

The Play Room

We have everything completely painted AND carpet. The first picture is our bonus room. (The play room is off of the bonus room!) To help everything to flow we changed the carpet in the bonus room to match the carpet we were putting in the play room.

Since the pictures we have also gotten our light and outlets and vent coverings.

The only problem was that they finished all this at the end of last week and so this whole weekend we couldn't load the toys in because it has to be inspected!! That was so hard.

Hopefully the next time you see a picture of it, it will have all the toys in it. After the toys are OUT of the rest of the house, we will be moving on to other rooms and getting those cleaned out and organized!! Hooray!!

Oatmeal

Or as Hannah says "Memeal."
Let's just say that the oatmeal breakfasts on Saturday mornings get a little long......

I just love summer pj's. Don't you?

Kite Day

Well, Kite Day didn't end up being much of a Kite Day this year. Just another side effect of Easter being in March. However, the Easter Bunny did show up and there was a great Easter Egg Hunt. For the most part, Hannah had a GREAT time.

This is Hannah taking a peak at the Easter Bunny - very far away. She was NOT having ANY thoughts of cuddle time with the Easter Bunny. At All. Hopefully I will have a picture of her from a friend that shows just how scared she was when I just took a couple of steps closer to him. No, I did not make her touch him or sit on his lap.

I think she thought she was big stuff looking for Easter Eggs. She loved doing that. It was lots of fun.

This is Hannah and her buddy Reese. There was no possible way, with them looking for Easter Eggs, that they would both look at the camera. I tried and Reese's mom tried... Didn't Work Out. Oh well, now you can see what we see of them most of the time when they are together.

Prayer

I really really really like this picture.
Has anyone ever seen it before?
I wonder who's picture it is? Anyone know?
I think I need to find a print of it for our home.

This World Is NOT My Home

This song brought tears to my eyes today during worship.

This World Is Not My Home

This world is not my home,
I'm just a passing thru.
My treasures are laid up
Some where beyond the blue;
The angels beckon me
From heaven's open door.

And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
Oh Lord, You know
I have no friend like you,
If heaven's not my home
Then Lord what will I do;
The angels beckon me
From heaven's open door,
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.

They're all expecting me,
And that's one thing I know,
My Savior pardoned me
And now I onward go;
I know He'll take me thru
Tho I am weak and poor.

And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
Oh Lord, You know
I have no friend like you,
If heaven's not my home
Then Lord what will I do;
The angels beckon me
From heaven's open door,
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.

Just up in glory land
We'll live eternally,
The saints on every hand
Are shouting victory,
Their song of sweetest praise
Drifts up from heaven's shore.

And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
Oh Lord, You know
I have no friend like you,
If heaven's not my home
Then Lord what will I do;
The angels beckon me
From heaven's open door,
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.

Sometimes I get so disappointed in this world and in the people. I get upset, frustrated, confused and worried about this world we live in. The thing I need to remember is that this world is NOT my home. I am just passing thru here. I am SO thankful for that.

Our Sunday Pictures

Please note the Easter Egg tree that we finally put together this weekend - only ONE week before the Easter!!

And also please note our attempt to get a family picture by putting the camera on the back of the couch. (We may need to try that somewhere else next time!)

I hope that this is our last Sunday with tights. I am tired of tights! Spring Where Are You???

The Play Room

YAYAYAYAY!
We have shelves and one coat of paint!

The rest of the paint should be done this week and then the carpeting starts!!

Yippeeee!!

My Wonderful Hubby

If you frequent my blog at all you will know that my husband makes me laugh every day. Seriously. It is something that I am SO thankful for. Here is one of the reasons why.

Conversation tonight:

Chris: I learned something today.
Mindy: What did you learn?
Chris: I learned that I squeak when I walk.
Mindy: Oh, and you are wearing the black shoes you like so much.
Chris: Mindy, I am trying to be serious and you change the subject to my shoes!
Mindy: I thought you were saying your work shoes squeak.
Chris: NO, I squeak when I walk.
Mindy: What squeaks?
Chris: I can't figure it out but it's me!
Mindy: (laughing) I am going to go blog this conversation, right now!

Word to the Wise: Next time you are around Chris, listen for a squeak!
(that I am pretty sure is in his shoes!)

Here is another reason! Recognize the Hat??
I love you Chris!
With everything inside of me, I Love You!!
Thanks for helping to make our home a happy home!

This Weekend, Our Lives Changed

At school for their naps, this is the way the schedule goes: The kids eat lunch, The kids get on their cots and read books while the teachers clean up from lunch, Then lights out and the kids take their naps on their cots.

This past Saturday I sat Hannah in the twin bed in her room and let her read some books before nap time. I went and put on some laundry and cleaned up her toys and when I came back I asked her if she wanted to sleep there in a big girl bed. She said yes, laid down and went to sleep.

She has been in a big girl bed ever since. Unfortunately, we have not had the pleasure that some of you had for a little while with her not knowing she can get out of the bed. Sunday morning, Hannah busts into our room and says "Morning!"

What Fun!!

New Book

Well, Something Blue was a good book. As I said before, it was from the perspective of a different character than Something Borrowed. At first I was a little aggravated with it because of that, but I couldn't stop reading to find out what was going to happen next. I am glad I kept reading!!

I am going back to Fern Michaels with my next book and reading one of my Christmas presents, Pretty Woman. I am actually already 75 pages into it and really like it. Once again, Fern Michaels puts her imagination to work and keeps me very interested.

As always, I will let you know how it goes.

Syrup

So this is the way the story goes...

We go to meet Grandmom and Grandpop at Cracker Barrel for supper one night. Grandmom and I are have the most pleasant of conversations and we look over to see Grandpop taking a picture of this. Hannah drinking syrup out of the bottle. Grandmom and I just can't leave Chris and Grandpop alone with her for a minute!!

He He He! That is my story and I am sticking to it!! :-)

By the way, she loved it!

(I can not believe I forgot about sharing this picture earlier!)

Our Sunday Pictures

I can not believe it snowed less than a week since we had let Hannah go to worship in short sleeves!
Here are our Sunday pictures.
Please ignore the backdrops!

Pretty Snow!

Hannah loves being outside anyway but she just loved playing in the snow. She kept saying "Pretty Snow"which actually sounds more like "Petty No" but that is OK.

Hannah got all bundled up and kicked her balls in the snow, ran in the snow, and thought it was hilarious to put snow on her balls. It was great.

As you can see we got about 2 inches, if not a little more. That is BIG TIME snow around here!!
