Smiles

As I was looking thru the many many birthday pictures I saw this one and just fell in love with it! It is one of my all time favorites of the two of them.

Our Sunday Pictures

This week's Sunday Pictures are especially dedicated to my cousin. Mollie really really does not like this dress Hannah is wearing. AND it is a little old fashion. However, I think Hannah looks really cute in it.

Hannah liked the dress, but she did say that it was kind of like she was wearing a bib. I think this was Mollie's point - exactly!! :-)

Party Day

Yes, it has now been over a week and
No, I have not yet put up pictures of Hannah's Party.

Honestly. I am over- whelmed and I don't know who to choose pictures. Literally, between my family and a great friend who came with his wonderful camera ready to help out I have over 1000 pictures of the day. LIT- ER- ALLY!

The day was great. It went well and I think Hannah had LOTS of fun. SO, I am just going to tell you all about it and try to get a few pictures for you. Then, maybe later, I might have another post or two of pictures.

Let's start with a couple of stories....

I asked Hannah what she wanted on her birthday cake. She said she wants a blue "coca" dot birthday cake. SO, I went onto paint and made 3 pictures. One blue back- ground with white polka dots, one white back- ground with blue polka dots, and one dark blue back- ground with light blue polka dots. She chose blue back- ground with white polka dots. Well, we RAN with that. She had a Blue With White Polka Dotted Birthday.

Chris and I were trying to decide who we were going to invite and what we were going to do. We thought we would just do something to let the kids play outside but it is so hot. That is when we decided to do water. Water fun outside. Because of that we decided to invite just girls this year (unless there was a sibling of course). Chris and I were trying to get a small list together and Chris decides we are going to ask Hannah what girls she wants to invite. I think she really loved that. She did a great job of trying to include EVERYONE! It was wonderful.

However, because of how many she came up with we decided to give family an option of being here during that or not......

First, we had a lunch celebrating Hannah's birthday with family. It was lots of fun. My parents, my grandparents, and my aunt, uncle, and cousin were able to come. We had some cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday to Hannah, which really embarrassed her more than I thought it would and talked and played and had fun.

The present of the hour was Blue Boy. Grandpop got Hannah a fish and they named him Blue Boy. She LOVES him very much. She says goodnight to him and blows him kisses every night. AND, he was the perfect gift since he is blue with while polka dots. It was great.

My parents were the only ones who decided to stay for the girl chaos (and they were staying here with us so they had no choice).

We got a small nap out of both Hannah and Justus. They were already worn out.

Second, we had 6 of Hannah's friends come over. We did presents then cake and icecream (Hannah didn't like us all singing at her again) and then we let them go in the backyard. Hannah's Maw Maw and Poppa Bob gave her a great picnic table which worked out well for the kids to eat outside. We had, at least, 10 balls (thanks Nannah and Papa Joe), a sprinkler ball, a little pool, the sandbox, a slide (thanks Willa and Ellie), a tunnel (thanks Carissa) and a water table for them to play with and I think they all had a wonderful time.

We hosed them all down and sent them on their way home - - Tired and Hungry!

It was really a wonderful, fun day!!

Now, for the Big Thank Yous who made this day possible.

#1 Papa Joe! Thank You for putting all kinds of things together late Friday night. Thank You for making all the last minute runs on Saturday morning! We could not have done this without you!

#2 Nannah! Thank You for helping me set up for everything. Thank You for all the food you prepared late Friday night. Thank You for taking care of Justus during the play time so that I could gab! We could not have done this without you!

#3 Mrs Elizabeth! Thank You for taking so much of your time and effort to make the cake that Hannah requested! You brought her dream into reality, quite literally, and then some so that it was so so beautiful! We could not have done this with without you!

#4 UPS! Thank You UPS for getting Maw Maw and Poppa Bob's gift of a picnic table here in time for us to have 8 children eat cake and icecream outside instead of inside our home! We could not have had such a clean floor afterwards without you!

#5 Chris! The Most Important! Thank You for blowing up all the "stuff" for the kids to have a good time with. Thank You for helping me keep everyone together during the party. Thank You for being the awesome dad who entertained 7 giggling little girls with your Hula-Hoop skills. Thank You for being the most wonderful daddy to our little 3 (YES, Three!) year old! Since, obviously, the child's existance could not have happened without you - we, very obviously, could not have done this without you!

It was a fun fun day!

The First Celebration

We had Hannah's birthday party this past Saturday. Unfortunately there were a couple of her friends that couldn't come. Well, one of her friends that couldn't come over Saturday, came over to play on Friday and brought cupcakes and a gift to celebrate Hannah's birthday.

They, of course, LOVED the cupcakes.AND Hannah was very excited to see her new sand toys!
There was a very sweet Thank You Hug!
AND THEY WERE OFF... To the sandbox to try them out. I am not sure what takes up more room in the sandbox - the kids, the toys, or the sand. It didn't matter to them though, they had a blast!

Thank you for being the absolute MOSTEREST wonderful Daddy to Hannah and Justus.

My Parents were here!Nannah, Papa Joe, and the grandchildren that they spoiled!
I don't know that I got one of Justus smiling this morning. He was happy, but not smiley. I have those days myself!
Hannah Bear Cheesed it up!
For some reason this picture of the two of them cracks me up!
Some attempts at a family picture...
Didn't really work out but at least we can say we tried!
There is something about this picture that I love. Mom is looking at us which is sweet. And please click on the picture and make it big to NOTE we are all smiling!
Goofy! I have no clue what we are looking at.

Cole's Birthday

I am a little behind but over 2 weeks ago we went to Jump Zone to celebrate Cole's birthday. It was so much fun. Here are some highlights...

Hannah very frustrated that I made her stop the fun to smile at me.
Hannah and Justus having lots of fun being pushed around in this rolling thing!
Hannah and Savannah going thru an obstacle course thing with Savannah's Uncle Bryan. They thought they were so cool!
Justus was just loving hanging out and crawling around. Except he could not figure out that the things on the floor were just part of the carpet and he could not pick them up. It was funny.
Hannah loved the inflatable turtle.
Cole's Uncle Bryan is talking. Gram Gram is deciding who to play with next. Mrs. Alaina is wondering where her next photo opt is. And in the midst of semi-chaos, Savannah is having a moment with Justus. How sweet.
Hannah and Savannah ready for cake and ice cream.
Thanks for letting us come celebrate with you, Cole!!
Next time, slow down for me for a minute so I can get your picture!!
Happy 4th Birthday Mr Cole!!

Thank You Grandmom

My Grandmom emailed me today to ask about the latest Nicholas Sparks book. SO, I nosy-ed around and You All Need To Know....

The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks will be out Sept 8, 2009!

Get Ready!
Yipppeeee!

((Hint Hint Mr Christopher - A book will be bought in September - Let's put it in the budget!))

Blog Crazy

SO, something happened with the website I got my old template from and .... it messed up my blog. Very Frustrating.

I just wanted to share the two things I learned today...

#1
If you want a 3 column blog, change your template to the Blog Minima template and then go to THIS WEBSITE and it will take you step by step on how to do it. Very Great Instructions!

#2
The Cutest Blog On The Block has the easiest free templates for your blog that I have ever seen! And, I have tried a few! They don't have as many 3 column templates as I would like (I am not sure about this brown and green) and they don't have any purple like I wanted BUT they have lots of cute ones and getting it on is easy easy!!

Whew!
I am so excited you can read this today!

Thursday Nights

For the past 10 weeks Thursday nights have been filled with Daddy playing softball.

You may think this is what the fun of softball is...

But in fact it is this.......Coloring with Friends...And smiling at the camera.
...When she has a moment between all these fun softball activities she DOES cheer for her Daddy too!
