Laptop

Because of some new responsibilities that I have been given at work, they have given me a laptop. I try to find excuses to type on it because the sound reminds me of a movie that I like a lot. You've Got Mail. The sound of it is what I like. I know that is silly but it is true. Think of the sound the next time you type on your laptop! he he he he!

New Game

Last night some of the girls from church got together and played a game I have never played before. It is called Boxers or Briefs. Don't judge it by the name. It is not an underwear game. It is more of a "what do I prefer" game. It was really fun. I think Chris and I are going to have to own it and invite people over just to play it. It is great. And it is a wonderful game to play with LOTS of people. We had 11 people last night playing and it was very fun. Most of the girls were laughing so hard they were crying.

You can't have a better girls game night than a good game we can all play, a lot of laughing, loud shouts of joy, and some good warm spinach dip with chips.

Getting to Know You

Getting to know all about you.

So, Chris' sister and her family do not come in to see us all that often. It is a long drive. Their son is one week older than Hannah. We all had a great time and really got to know each other......

Chris, Maw Maw, Poppa, and I all got to know what it was like to have
2 beautiful children in our arms.

Hannah and Landon got to know each other and love each other so much.
They are kissing.

Landon and Stanley got to know each other.
Landon is about to kiss Stanley.

Uncle Chris and Landon got to know each other.
Landon and Uncle Chris are kissing and having fun.

Uncle Brian and Hannah got to know each other.
Uncle Brian helped Hannah walk.

How Aunt Melissa managed to dodge the camera I have no idea. She was here though. Loving on all the children and getting to know Hannah. It was a fun visit! We were SO glad to see them.

The Weddin'...

...as Chris says it. I would call it The Wedding. Anyway, the cocktail attire wedding was absolutely beautiful. Very elegant. I don't think I have ever been to anything like it. I have to admit that I did not take you ladies' advice and wear black, however, I did try to get something a little more party like and nicer. I fell in love with a dress that was a little outside my box and so I just had to have it and I had to wear it. Luckily, I don't think I looked very out of place. It worked out well. Thanks to all of you for your help.

Our Sunday

Today was a very fun day. Maw Maw, Poppa, Aunt Melissa, Uncle Brian, and Landon were all here visiting. We had a wonderful morning of worship.

This afternoon we went to the pool and Hannah got in a pool for the first time. She didn't like it too much at first but she did get use to it eventually and had a great time. We forgot to take the camera to the pool but I think the picture of her when we got back home tells all. It was fun and exhausting.

Yippeee. I Got My Own!

I found some of the Mudd Preform shoes that I wanted and now I have some of my own. I did not care what I was going to wear on Casual Friday at work. All I knew is that whatever I wore I would be wearing my new shoes. They are wonderful and so comfy. I want some in every color (see my blog entry in April titled The Preform).

Yes, I took a picture of my own feet just to show you.

Favorite Friday

This weeks Favorite Friday is my Favorite Disney Movie. I actually like almost all of the Disney movies but I think my very favorite is The Lion King. I like it because the comic relief characters really make me laugh (Timon and Pumba). I like it because of the little love story. I like it because Simba learned from his mistakes and did what he could to right his wrong.

However, I think I like it most because of the memory I have of seeing the movie. I think this is the only movie that I have ever seen with my Grandmom in a theatre. I will not ever forget when she took me to see The Lion King. It was so fun and because it was different I felt very special that she was taking me to see it. The Lion King is something my Grandmom and I will always share.

(I have now officially posted over 100 posts on my blog. That is crazy!)

Let's Make Money

Alright Ladies, I found it.
The perfect way to make money.
Let's get paid to blog!! Yippeee!
Check out this article about Wal Mart.
I think we could make it work!

Hannah Hannah Hannah

She is officially everywhere. She is taking a few steps by herself every once in a while but she has no problem getting everywhere she wants to go. I was trying to take a picture of her new "I watch ESPN with my Daddy" shirt but she was too busy playing in her drawer in the kitchen and under the table. What a mess. A mess that I sure do love. I am very thankful she is so active and alert. It is great!

Children's Bible Hour

This month Chris and I have been leading children's bible hour at church on Sunday nights. It is amazing what you can learn when preparing for a children's class. I wanted to share with you the memory verse we have been learning. I think almost every child that has been there has memorized it by now.

Hebrews 13:16 (New American Standard Version)
And do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

How simple. What a wonderful way to show your thankfulness to God.. by doing good and sharing.

Confession

I like American Idol and I am excited about the finale tonight.

However, I am not as excited as I have been in the past.

I really wanted Melinda Doolittle to win but she is already out.

Very Sad.

Soooo, who do you want to win? Blake or Jordin?

By The Way

The Giraffe is still my favorite!

Carousel

Chris took Hannah on her first carousel ride. She thought it was really great. I think she would have rode again and again if we have let her. I believe we will be riding these more often now when we see them. She really enjoyed herself and even waved at her mommy a couple of times.

The Zoo

The Zoo was a blast today. We all had lots of fun. Hannah just took it all in. She was very excited to be with her friends Cole and Savannah. She thought it was all very interesting, until about an hour into it and she had had enough. She just leaned back in that stroller and went fast to sleep.

Thank you Moss family for inviting us!! We all loved it very much.

Favorite Friday

We are making our first visit to the Zoo here in town tomorrow. In honor of this visit the Favorite Friday topic is favorite animal I like to see at the Zoo. After tomorrow this may change --- I will let you know. But right now my favorite animal to see, and the one I am most excited about seeing tomorrow is the giraffe. I think they are so neat looking.

Sharing Bath Time

We have some good friends of ours staying with us for a little bit while they are waiting for their house to be built. Their youngest child, Chloe, is about 13 months older than Hannah. Hannah and Chloe love each other very much.

Anyway, the second night they were here Chris and I gave them a bath together while they went to clean up the house they just moved out of. They had a blast.

I know April showers bring May flowers.

I sure hope so.

Rest

Matthew 11:25-30 (New American Standard Version)

I praise Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou didst hide these things from the wise and intelligent and didst reveal them to babes. Yes, Father, for thus it was well-pleasing in Thy sight. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son, except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My load is light.

Recipe

I made this really simple and good recipe for me and Chris last week. It was great and super easy.

Baked Mozzarella Bites

Ingredients:

1 8 oz package block low moisture mozzarella cheese
60 Ritz Crackers
1 cup spaghetti sauce, heated

Preheat over to 325. Cut cheese crosswise into 15 slices; cut each slice crosswise in half.
Top each of 30 crackers with 1 cheese slice; cover with remaining crackers. Place in baking sheet.
Bake 8 minutes or until cheese begins to melt. Serve with the spaghetti sauce.

We did learn that it is not good left over so only make the number that you are actually going to eat right then.

Enjoy!

Happy Mother's Day

I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day. Mine has been jam packed but very wonderful and fun. Lucky for us, Nana and Papa Joe were able to be here. Chris, Hannah, and I were so thankful we were able to spend some time with them. It was very fun.

Favorite Friday

Today's Favorite Friday, in honor of Mother's Day is My Favorite Thing About My Mother.

This is a hard one for me. I love a lot of things about my mother. I love her intuition, her humor, her Christ-like spirit, her helpfulness, her kindness, the way she can roll her eyes, the way she hates her belly button, the way she cuts her nails, her creative ideas, her thoughtfulness, the love she shows me, the way her nose crinkles like a bunny when she smiles, the way she smells, the comfort I feel around her, the wisdom she shares, and I think I could go on and on......

If I had to say what my favorite thing about her is I suppose I would say it would be our conversations. Talking to my mother is wonderful. She is one of those people I can say anything to and she will talk to me about. She is always willing to listen to a good story and put her thoughts on the whole thing. We love hearing about every detail of an event or just a regular ole day.

Last weekend she and Dad drove in on Friday night to stay with us and then had to leave on Saturday at about 2 to be at the airport. I was not able to be here to hang out with them. At the airport while they were waiting to board she called me and went thru every step of their day with Chris and Hannah. It was so fun. You can't recount every moment of a day with just anyone and it be fun. It was great!

Thanks Mom for everything, but especially for all our conversations. I love you very much.

Polka Dots

My friend Elizabeth is so great about remembering who gave her what at baby showers and every where when her little girl was born. I am so terrible about that. This outfit Hannah has on was given to us at a baby shower before Hannah was born and is from a local store. I just love it.

I wish I could tell that person thank you again face to face now that it fits her and she is wearing it, but I can't ever remember who gave us what. Is that terrible?

I am thankful for thank you notes. It comforts me to know that I did say thank you to this person at least once!!!

My Bad Habit

Okay Haley!!! I have really not been avoiding this. I have just been trying to think of the one that I want to blog about. I have many bad habits around the house. I pretty much have a hard time disciplining myself to get house work done in general, mainly because I feel so tired!!! Hummm, you think exercise may help that??? Time.. I need Time!!

Moving on... I think my worst are the floors. I really don't like sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, anything! When it is cleaning day (which is not as often as it should be) I ask Chris to do all the floors and I will do the rest! It usually works.

My most frustrating household chore is cleaning the bathrooms. I have all white everything and I swear I can not get them clean! I think I have cleaned them but then there is something else I can't get. I see EVERYTHING on those floors. It drives me insane. If I ever get to pick out my own tile in the bathrooms I will not pick solid white!!

I tell Chris that if we could just hire someone to do the floors and bathrooms for me, I can cover the rest. ...... No Go on that one .......

OK, anyone who has a blog and has not told what their bad habit is yet .. TAG you are it. Spill it. Inquiring minds want to know.

Playing Hookie Part 2

We Played too!!!

(( Make the top picture big and look close .. You can see that 4th tooth that has poked thru! -- Ignore the booger ))

Playing Hookie

Monday night Hannah did not sleep well because she was coughing most of the night. It was that deep chest cough. This means that Chris and I did not sleep well either. We knew she did not feel good so we decided Hannah would need to stay home onTuesday. Because of the circumstances we decided it would be best for me to stay home instead of him this time. Hannah never ran a fever, never stopped eating, and did still sleep. So I talked to the nurse at the pediatrician's office and they said that they probably did not need to see her unless she stopped eating or had a fever but they did recommend some over the counter stuff. Needless to say Hannah seemed fine all day.. of course! She coughed a lot which I know she didn't like but she was still herself.

We.....
Found our tongue.
Played Peek a Boo.
Watched TV.
Did laundry.
and Talked on the phone.

Of course I was there to document it all!! What a crazy day.
I "picked" on her all day saying she was just faking to stay home from school!!
