Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving was at our house this year. As we requested. No one needs to panic - I did not do all the cooking. (Something to be thankful for.) Aunt Wendy and I got a handful of pictures before everyone got there and then there were not very many taken after that. I was too worried about where all the food was going to be put in my small kitchen. Don't worry, it worked out. (Something to be thankful for.)

Before everyone got here, Chris and Hannah went out and blowed the leaves off the sidewalk. Hannah loved having a project with her Daddy. She is still in her pjs but when you have a big pink coat and cool black boots - no need to get dressed before going to blow the leaves away!

Aunt Wendy was sweet enough to take a picture of me and Chris together. I am trying to remember to do that more instead of only having pictures of the children. I want our children to always find pictures of us, throughout our lives, that show them how happy we are with each other and with them.

Of course, the photographer and her sweet sidekick needed to get a pictures too!

As things got to bustling - more people, more food, more noise, more confusion, more questions, ... more everything - Hannah got a little clingy and so Mommy and Hannah got a little bit of special cuddle time in the kitchen. Sometimes you just need that.

My beautiful hodge podge table thanks to the Blessing Mix at each place and turkeys to gobble in the middle.

Our own personal professional turkey carver. Chris stood and watched and is hoping to be able to carve a turkey correctly one day. He has a great teacher (not only in Grandpop but also in his Dad/Poppa Bob)!! Chris is bound to be a professional in his future! :-)

And finally, a beautiful girl showing such a sweet boy how thankful she is for him!
I hope your Thanksgiving Day was great too.
