Teach Me Lord to Wait

Words and Music by Stuart Hamblen

Teach me Lord, to wait
Right down on my knees,
Till in Your own good time
You answer my pleas;
Teach me not to rely
On what others do,
But to wait in prayer
For an answer from You.

Teach me Lord, to wait
While hearts are aflame,
Let me humble my pride
And call on Your name.
Keep my faith renewed,
my eyes on Thee,
Let me be on this earth
What you want me to be.

They that wait upon the Lord
Shall renew their strength,
They shall mount up with wings like eagles.
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Teach me Lord,
Teach me Lord,
To wait.

Sunday, when we sang this song during worship, I wrote it down to remind me that I wanted to blog it since it touched me so much. What a prayer!

Then I realized that I would not need to upload a picture so, if it was a good day, my computer may let me go on and blog it. AND then I realized that the words were also somewhat appropriate for my blog right now. :-)

2 more weeks and I should have a great computer to blog with and then, my friends, you will be on CMD Family Blog Overload. Promise!

Sorry I missed this song at church Sunday. I read it many times. Thanks for bringing it to me again.

Beautiful song and, yes, appropriate for your blog now, but appropriate for me always. Love to all!

Hymn seems to be a favorite for a lot of us! So good to see something coming from you. I surely am missing your daily (?) blogs. Sorry you have troubles with the computer.
