Lesson Learned

When we go out to eat somewhere and there is a choice to put Hannah on the side of the table that faces out to see everyone in the place or to put Hannah on the side of the table that faces the window - - - Always Always Always Put Her Facing The Window!!!

The other day I did not obey this rule and I was facing the window and she was looking out at everyone in McDonalds. This is what happened.

#1
When I told her not to point she thought I meant don't point with your pointer finger. SO, she is now pointing with her pinky. I am still trying to explain to her that is just as rude. For some reason, to her, it does not seem as rude. huh?

#2
When a boy walked in with a tank top on with a girl that was wearing a way too low spaghetti strap shirt, she proudly announced to everyone, while pointing her pinky at them, that they came to eat in their bathing suits!

#3
When a very small, skinny, nice man smiled at her she proudly announced to everyone, while pointing her pinky at him, that he had "big giant teeth."

#4
When anyone with curly hair walked by she proudly announced to everyone, while pointing her pinky at them, that "she has curly hair and it is very pretty."

#5
When a man sat down at the table beside us (which was a higher table with high stools) she proudly announced to everyone, while pointing her pinky at him, that he was "big giant tall!"

I may be exaggerating a little about the "announcing" part. (I think only a couple of these statements were heard by all.) But I am being very exact about what she said. And please remember, my back was to all of these people. Very frustrating and (can't help it) funny situation.

Don't worry. I am working on this.

Also, please note, she ate every single bite of her cheeseburger and every french fry in her Happy Meal bag. Her people watching skills are so in tune that she can actually eat and watch and tell everyone everything she sees ALL at the same time. We are so proud! :-)

I have tears in my eyes from laughing. I think it's the "pinky point' that makes it even funnier! And what was Mr. Justus learning during all this? I don't think Mr. Chris will allow Justus to "pinky point"!!!

I am also crying and laughing. This is sooooo hilarious!!! Maybe because I can see her actually doing it. I am also jealous because I missed it!!!

Too funny - Hannah does not miss anything! And, does her best to make sure she doesn't miss anything! So Mindy, is your indegestion gone yet from you lunch experience?

Hannah gets her people watching honestly...now the pointing is another thing from someone else. But she was very polite and no negativism at all! Very sweet story about Hannah. What was Justus doing all this time?
