Popcorn Poppers

Ben has recently put a couple of posts up on his blog about how times have changed and some of the things that our children may never know about.

For example:
Will our children ever use a phone booth?
Or will our children ever know what a busy signal sounds like?

Well my question is will my children ever know Jiffy Pop or use a Popcorn Popper and buy a big bag of popcorn kernels in a bag at the grocery store?

Did anyone else have these?

Over here, it's me said...

How about vinyl records, video tape, film cameras, phones with wires, carbon paper, writing checks and balancing the checkbook, typewriters, black and white tv, roof-top antennas, etc.... I had to stop, I started feeling old.

Oh yes, I remember those. We had an air popper for years because we didn't get a microwave until I was in high school. The boys think those Jiffy pop things are so neat!

I have the Stir Crazy and love it! We use it every weekend! It taste so much better than bagged popcorn and healthier! I have found there are so many different types of popcorn, I like black or white the best! It all pops white! You need to google popcorn and look at the varities! WOW!!!

PS, we did the stove top at during camping!

We had a pop corn popper that you had to put the bowl under to catch it when it popped out. and we also did the ones on the stove as well.

That's a good one. We also had the contraption that allowed you to cook pop corn in the fireplace.

About a year ago I talked about dirt roads and diner bells too.
